About Me

Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working across different industries — a decade in the theatre world, followed by time in education and marketing. Each chapter of my life brought its own learning, but it was my own journey through grief and personal exploration that eventually led me to counselling. What started as a path to heal and understand myself became a hope to support others in doing the same.
I’m a BACP registered counsellor, currently working in private practice and with multiple charities and with several years of client experience behind me. My training has given me a solid foundation and continues to evolve:
● Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills
● Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies
● Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling

Currently undertaking:
○ Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
○ Professional Certificate in Loss and Grief with Shapes of Grief

Grief and loss are at the heart of my work, not just professionally, but personally. I know how overwhelming and isolating loss can feel, and I also know the strength that comes from having someone beside you as you navigate it.
My Approach
I work with an integrative approach, which means I draw from several therapeutic models depending on your needs. At the centre of this is a client-focused relationship — one that’s warm, respectful, and grounded in empathy.
● From Person-Centred Therapy, I offer a non-judgemental space where your feelings are valued and accepted.
● Transactional Analysis helps explore patterns in relationships and communication, bringing awareness to how past experiences shape present behaviours.
● With CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), I can support you in identifying unhelpful thought patterns and developing healthier coping strategies.
● Psychodynamic theory allows us to gently explore deeper emotional roots and unconscious processes that may be influencing your current struggles.

I aim to create a space that feels safe, collaborative, and meaningful. While it’s important that we work towards your hopes and goals, I also bring knowledge, curiosity and insight into the room to support deeper understanding and change.
Clients often tell me they find me warm, empathic, and easy to talk to — which I take as a compliment, because above all else, I want you to feel comfortable being yourself in our sessions.
